Dallas - Part I

Our trip started the night before with an afternoon flight out of Raleigh. Madison had been looking forward to the trip and wanted to handle her bags on her own.

"I got this!"

Despite the wedding activities not starting until Friday, we wanted to take time to see the sites in Dallas. Our first stop on Tuesday was Big D Tours, a jump on/jump off trolley that takes you to most highlights of the city.  It was Veteran's Day in the city and the tour trolley riders consisted of me, Jeff, and Madison.  We chose to do the whole tour first and then decide which sites we would go back to visit.  The parade put a few limitations on where the trolley could go with road closures but it also gave us a chance to see sites that were not normally on the route.

Not quite sure what this was but it "looked" pretty cool!

All over the city there are the letters B & G.  We didn't find them all but this is the first that we found.

Everything in Dallas is B-I-G

Something new and something old

The Sixth Floor Museum
There was just a few more hours to kill that day before heading back to the hotel.  We made our way to the top of the Reunion Tower.

And how could we not stop by here for a treat?  Gotta love a chocolate chip ice cream cookie.

Madison found out the hotel had a pool.  We usually find the pool inside but after looking and looking, this hotel's pool was outside.  The weather during the day is nice but as night fell, the temperatures went down but that did not deter her from jumping in the pool for a quick swim.

Lips, feet, and finger tips were blue when she got out!
And this is how the day ended...very abruptly!!!
