Birthday Weekend

It's hard to believe, but Madison turns 4 years old this week.  We celebrated her birthday this weekend and had a WONDERFUL weekend with friends and family.  Friday night started the festivities with all the family arriving.  Saturday was prep time and a little bit of shopping to get those last minute items.  Four o'clock finally rolls around and its finally time for the fun to begin!!!  

I have to warn you that the pictures are out of order since they were taken from a few different cameras.

Later in the evening, the children running off the cupcakes and ice cream.  This is Emma all dressed up for the party!

Thank goodness there were only a handful of children coming to her party therefore I was able to spend more time to put together the horses for her friends.

The snakes got loose while the kids were eating.  It was time to squash the snakes!!!

Madison's face lit up with each present she opened!  She really liked EVERYTHING she got and spent Sunday putting her hands on all of her gifts.

And the last stop of the evening was to get pictures of the children (and others) on the horse.

We had a wonderful weekend and we are slowly getting back to "normal."  Madison had such a nice weekend and it really shows in the fact that it takes all of two minutes to get her bed at night.  Thanks to everyone for a really nice weekend!!!

Ear Piercing

Madison has been asking to have her ears pierced and there was no better time than before her fourth birthday.  We had been playing it up since last Sunday night and never did she say that she didn't want to go.  So ,on  Saturday morning,  it was time for the "big moment".  Hard to believe that we have hit, yet another big milestone in our little girls life!!!

It looks bad, but I promise, after she got her lollipop and a big hug from mom and dad and reassured that she did so very good the tears came to a halt.  Later that evening...

Allie's Party, Part 2

Allie's 4th Birthday

The first of the Four birthday party's started this weekend.  Allie is the first of the girls to have her fourth birthday party.  Hard to believe that Lisa was able to start the activities outside at the start of Feb.  It was a bit drizzly for the morning but it cleared just long enough for them to have a treasure hunt!

Lisa did really good baking a mountain cake and decorating it with dark frosting.  And Madison did a really great job at showing it off!

Buttoning for the first time

It has been awhile.  Would you believe that there hasn't been much going on?  The weekends have just been kind of normal and no big events.  We'll make up for that this weekend with SO much going on.  We have Allison's birthday on Saturday and a Super Bowl Party on Sunday!

Madison buttoned a button for the very first time tonight.  I think she was a bit excited!!!

Unfortunately, this one is sideways and I can't get it to flip.  Sorry about that...but you get the point!

Christmas Day

There were so many presents but we highlighted just a few to show everyone the excitement in her face!  Christmas this year was so much fun with her and she had such a wonderful time!

Madison kept asking Santa for a ladybug for Christmas.  Not only did she get one lady but she got FOUR ladybugs and then some...a ladybug pillow, a ladybug nightlight, a ladybug cup and a ladybug necklace and just a few ladybug books to finish it off.

Thank goodness the weather was nice on Christmas day.  This gave Madison a chance to ride her new bike and THEN...

she saw the motorized Jeep!!!

Picnic at the Airport

The Friday before Christmas was beautiful...a little chilly...but the sun was out and not a cloud in the sky!  We took Grandma and Grandpa out to the airport to show them the planes landing and taking off.  We had packed a lunch but it was a bit to chilly for a picnic.

We moved the picnic inside to the General Aviation.  We could still watch the planes take on and off and still be able to enjoy our lunch.

That afternoon, Jeff and Madison took some time to have a Kids Workshop at home and built a sled.
