Mommy and Daddy couldn't wait to get down to the beach. With the hotel room only being one room and it a bit to chilly to sit on the deck, we were bitin' at the bit for Madison to awaken from her nap (BTW...that very rarely happens!). A good solid hour should be long enough for anybody at the beach. Who would want to waste their days inside? With enough just loud enough talking, we were able to wake her up slowly so that she wouldn't be grumpy the rest of the day. When we told her it was time for a snack (our child can't do without her snack) and then to the beach, those little eyes just sparkled and the conversations were a goin'!
It was a bit windy on Saturday afternoon but it was warm. In comparison to earlier in the week when we had snow! I want to say it was around 55 degrees or so on Saturday. All of us had on a few layers. It's easier to pull off a layer of clothes than to be cold. Madison did so good running up and down the beach. She'd dig a little here, dig a little there. Sing a song here, do a little dance there. She helped me find some seashells.

I'm always amazed at how well she does. She walked and played for over an hour on the beach! There was so much for her to see and so much for her to show me and Jeff. I love the learning experience we get when we're out there. She's my little sponge just soaking all of it in and storing it for when she gets back home so that she can share the experience with Allie, her friends at school and anyone else who is willing to listen!
