Madison and Allie had some "girl time" this past week. Together they "worked" on Allie's gator getting it all fixed up for their rides up and down the driveway! They have their work aprons on so that their clothes don't get messed up.
Friday evening could not have been nicer! I can't believe the weather we are having in Aug. Last year I remember August being brutal but this year it has been perfect. We walked up to the stables to check out the horses. This time none of them came up to the fence but we did get to enjoy this group out playing around...running, kicking, talking...very cool. It even made Madison giggle just a bit!

Since Madison got her "girl time" this week, I took an evening with the girls and went painting. This is our second try at this and I don't think we're doing too bad.
And once again...Madison and her faces. Here she was eating breakfast and Dad took a picture of her "mad" face. Don't think she looks too mad but they were playing and it's hard to get the full expression when you're really happy!
That's all for this week. Not much really happened over the weekend. Kept it low key. This coming weekend we are preparing for the hurricane. Although it will not be a direct hit for our area, we MAY get some rain. The people on the coast are bracing for a big one.
So far it has been a strange week for the east coast. We did feel the earthquake here in Raleigh. What a very weird feeling and I continued to feel a little "off" the rest of the day. There have been aftershocks but none have been felt this far down.
Hope this finds everyone doing well and will let you know how we weather the storm.
