Jeff tied the noodle around her and she did pretty darn good at keeping her head out of the water and kicking a little to get herself around the shallow end of the pool.
Madison got a good nap in after all that swimming and she was bound to be hungry. We took her over to Doumar's in Norfolk for BBQ and a milkshake. Of course, she would have been happy just having the milkshake for dinner! This was the first time Madison had gone through a tunnel (that she can remember and before she was able to ask a MILLION questions!). How do you explain that you are going underwater but not going to get wet to a three year old? We got home and she worked off the milkshake showing daddy how she rides her tricycle on a flat surface.| One...Two....Three... |
Her head wasn't on the pillow that night before she was asking to go to the pool again. Since we weren't leaving until later in the morning we figured it would be a good way to get all the energy out before tying her down in a car seat for four hours. She was none stop for two hours! She jumped and jumped and jumped!
It was nearing time to go home and Grandpa had left a few tomatoes and cucumbers on the vines for Ms. Lace to pick. She was very excited, with basket in hand, ready to pick her veggies.
We had such a wonderful weekend and Madison had such a great time with Grandma and Grandpa! She was grandpa's little shadow all weekend. This morning was very hard for her. She was SO very tired!
